Dry and defeated

Other than the cricket & footie, Aussies are proud of their swimming abilities and for good reason. I walked in the pool near my house the other day and felt really intimidated. Firstly, it's sectioned for only doing laps and you see ppl of all ages ..young, old, women, men doing laps. There is no room for you to just "hang around.. floating" in the water. You better be doing laps or get out of there. Secondly, the pool is not that big but it's 3 feet...double my height..mhmm... I'm told that be it summer or winter, these lappers will still be doing their laps so no hope for a lesser audience. There also isin't a life guard.... 10 seconds later I decided to go home instead, dry and defeated. Next time, I'll come back with more guts and maybe a friend and maybe with a duckie.

The best Easter holidays! I have 3 very special friends visiting at the same time during the hols. Can't believe I'm having 10 days of vacation from work and I'm going to the Great Barrier Reefs. Oh, I feel excited, happy, happy and excited. Beach, sun, corals, friends, drinks, party... oh life will be more beautiful in 2 weeks. There will be lots of laughters and joy and love!

Movies

Watched a couple of good movies last month. Most notingly Cinema Nuovo Paradiso, late 1980s Italian movie; a triumph in stirring out emotions of happiness, love, tears, joy. Loved it.

A recent film; The Illusionist which was very entertaining, starring Edward Norton. Couldn't take my eyes off his hands in this movie. Good $10 spent.

Another good to watch is Alatriste; Spanish film starring Viggo Mortensen who played Aragorn in LOR. As expected, the movie did have stunning visuals, good cimeatography and good actors. Watched it in the La Mirada festival of Melbourne.

I'll be a good couple of weeks till I return to the theaters and video ezy.
