Nose pickers on the road
Somethings you do on the road really pisses other drivers. Road courtesy/ ethic does not exist in Malaysia. We are rude rude.. very rude drivers. Intersections are always very jam because nobody knows how to follow the correct lane, ppl get into accidents becuase nobody signals, the que at some traffic light is almost non existence. Some friends of mine are ass**** drivers.. and they seem to be proud of it. They think it's funny.. but really, it's very annoying to other ppl. Here's a tip for you ass**** drivers out there and please follow it! Ufffff...
1. If you wanna pick your nose, press your pimple or apply your lipstick, comb your hair, move to the left lane!! I mean the most left lane (the 4th/5th/6th lane). Don't stick to the right..the left lane IS for slow drivers.
2. If you're on the second right lane.. you should be driving at 80km/hr minimum !!! Don't drive your brand new mega huge horsepower car on the right lane if you're not going on reasonable speed. I don't care if you've got a good car, if you can't drive it.... move! If you're driving a very old car which cannot move at 80km/hr.. you should ALSO move..
3. On the most right lane, you should be moving at 100km/hr. Again.... move if there is a car right behind you.
Uffff!
unfaithfulness
People who love only once in their lives are . . . shallow people. What they call their loyalty, and their fidelity, I call either the lethargy of custom or their lack of imagination. Faithfulness is to the emotional life what consistency is to the life of the intellect- simply a confession of failures.
-"The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde"
..justification for the guilty ones.
Soul food
This is a bowl of Malaysian authentic noodles cooked from chillies, shollots, garlic, tumeric roots, belacan, tamarind paste, daum keson, asam keping, lemon grass, mackerel and noodles.
Some Malaysians have an addiction to this. We would wait 1 hour in the hawker stall to consume this bowl of sour and spicy noodles in our 38 Celcius 80% humidity weather every week. Be it rain or shine, we must have this.
This is my soul food while travelling.. bringing comfort and memories of dinners back home.
Korean woman working at a clock repair shop
Brought me a smile this morning. It's a phone conversation made to a korean woman working at a clock repair shop.
Back home
Came home to stacks of bills waiting to be settled. Bags still waiting to be unpacked, I'm too lazy to unpacked them. Clothes that has been in the luggage for more than 24 hours does not smell fresh. All of it needs to be iron. Can't wait to have a dinner party so I can make pasta, serve Italian wine, chocolates and coffee. It feels damn good to be back in my own apt. my own bed.. own kitchen. own toilet, it just boost my ego to know I own everything in this apt :P.
Fabrizio De Andre
Every country has a great singer. Fabrizio De Andre is one of Italy's best. He's got about 10 albums and in one.. he sings
"Fiume Sand Creek" ("Sand Creek River"): ..(from wikipedia)
it tells about the massacre of defenceless Native Americans of 29 November 1864 by US Army troops.
Hear him :) you would love it.
