Time time..running out..
This year flew by... The first four months of 2006 has been spent switching job and coming to Italy, in result of that I've put aside everything else. I've only got another 2-3 weeks in Torino, there's alot of work to be done and yet even more places to see. I really wish I had put more effort into learning Italian.. it sucks feeling disconnected with the rest of the ppl here. Last night, we went to a bar- Rossini in the city center and it was really nice to be hanging out after a long day at work.
I was at a bbq party on Tuesday (was a holiday) and the host lives in a mansion.. the area is huge with gardens and 2 houses, a big pool, nice cars.. ,later I found out that the host will be spending 5 weeks of honeymoon in 7 countries (Torino-Boston,Vegas,Sdney,Samoa,Fiji,New Zealand,Hong Kong,Tokyo) around the world. Damn, it sounded really good to be rich.
I'm hooked to the coffee here. At least 2 cafes a day. It must be short and strong.
Camogli- Liguria.
Liguria is the region in Italy facing the Mediterranean sea. The nearest coast is an hour from Torino. Camogli is an hour and a half from downtown Torino. Some ppl call Torino the '1 hour city' becuase it's one hour from the Alps and an hour from the sea. Yesterday, we tracked 2 hours up the hill and down to reach San Fruttoso (landmark is the the castle shown below) and took the boat back to center of Camogli later. Liguria is where many people will build their dream home.

Mount Bianco

Yesterday, Francesco and I drove through the Alps and specifically through the highest peak (Mount Bianco) in Europe to Anmasse in France to visit a customer. Torino is an hour from Mount Bianco and here is the view from near. It's a sight to behold. On a good day, we have a perfect view from Torino..
Rome was very nice but I also have my wallet stolen by a kid in the metro. It's almost expected but I'm still pissed that it happened to me. I've had my wallet stolen in NYC, in Barcelona and now in Rome.. do I really look like an easy target?!
The Pantheon is my favourite building in Rome but I really miss the girls and Paul who were at Hanna's wedding.. and Pao pao is in love!! I'm so happy for her!
Roma, Italia
never go to Rome on Easter weekend! Roma is everything I imagined it to be and more..

Venice, Italy
Managed to make it to Venezia last weekend. Beautiful weather, lots of tourist and as expected Venice is romantic but there was far too many ppl..

Spring
Pictures from last weekend. Spring is finally here. Photos are still not perfect, the sun came out after I took the pictures..it was a beautiful sunny Sunday. I also got myself out of the house with keys, phone and documents in the house and myself out. It was a scarry experience, I'm just glad I didn't end up in the police station as I don't remember any contact number nor address in Torino.
The weekend before was the chocolate festival in Torino. Yum yum yum... there's 80% cocoa filled chocolate, I didn't know. I've been lucky enough to have met some nice ppl to show me around. Discovering more of the city at night and having even more delicious dinner.
Almost perfect weather in Venice this weekend :) ..yay! since I'm going to spend the weekend there. The election is also this weekend, there's been so much talk about it that most ppl wants it over soon. Politics in Italy is messy and ugly, ppl get really emotional and upset talking about the current president but seems that things aren't any better on the other side of the fence.
